Course Description
The CDERP Certified Customised Employment Professional program is the only course fully focused on Customised Employment in Australia. Based on our extensive overseas and local experience, it has been developed with our technical partners, Griffin Hammis Associates, one of the pioneers of Customised Employment and Discovery. Our experience and training in the USA, along with our adherence to international standards, is supported by our program directors’ competition of training in the USA and passing the APSE Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP) program, which has informed the development of our Australian Certified Program.
This certificate provides 120 hours of comprehensive training and support in authentic Customised Employment designed to meet the needs of employment professionals who want to deliver employment services with fidelity to practice evidence. The program has been developed and extensively used in Australia to ensure that it meets our funding settings for disability employment practice. This course meets the needs of disability employment professionals working within the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) or any disability employment professional looking to deliver authentic person-centred employment support.
The learning is detailed and designed to allow you to deliver services that meet the needs of empowered clients who demand a job and real employment that meets their aspirations, strengths and talents. The course contains the knowledge required to deliver Customised Employment and Discovery to support the employment journey. Following completion, we’ll promote your professionalism by supporting the use of the CDERP Certified Customised Employment Professional post-nominal CCEP, indicating your professional standing in the delivery of disability employment.

Our CDERP Certified certificate training is delivered online. You’ll need everything to understand the learnings and use the knowledge and skills you are developing. The modules are self-paced, but you won’t be alone. You will be guided on your learning journey by experienced Discovery practitioners and trainers. The program can be delivered through a one-week intensive and post-delivery practice for service providers and small groups with minimum numbers required.
Course Support
You will continue to have access to the mentor post-training. They will help you through the inevitable hurdles that you’ll come across. Mentoring options are available for participants wanting extra support on the job. On successful completion of the full program, participants will be recognised as CDERP Certified Customised Employment Professionals. They will be added to the public listing of Customised Employment Expert Practitioners. Person-centred employment practice with real fidelity to the evidence for practice.
