The Basic Certificate in Discovery is one part of a comprehensive suite of professional development programs designed to support real evidence-based employment practice. Developed by CDERP and supported by practice and research in Australia and overseas. CDERP leverages our global partnerships with customised employment pioneers such as Griffin Hammis Associates to ensure that our programs are relevant. We back this up with practice evidence from our own service delivery and ongoing relationships with some of the best disability and employment researchers globally. Contextualised to our setting and supporting real employment outcomes consistent with the intent and goal of authentic Customised Employment.
Authentic Disability Employment professionals don’t take shortcuts. They invest in themselves to ensure clients receive the best evidence-based services as possible. Nothing is authentic about a practice learnt from a book or borrowed from a website. Authenticity requires understanding the nuances that exist in every setting and client relationship.
The course is self-paced and supported by self-assessment, video instruction and mentoring as required. Participants in this course receive access to program manuals and CDERP’s growing library of evidence-based practice resources.
Satisfactory completion of this course is equal to 40 CPD credits.
